This year, the European Tourism Day looked towards the future of tourism in Europe. Open discussion focused on the future competitiveness and sustainable growth of the European Tourism. Public authorities at EU, national and regional level, European Sector Associations, representatives of the industry and other stakeholders participated at a debate on key topics, such as promotion, the challenges related to digital tourism, the opportunity of streamlining the regulatory and administrative framework and the feasibility of a quality initiative.
